Manufacturing of a Flex Connector for the Power Distribution Industry

A customer in the power distribution industry needed a custom fabricated braided copper flexible shunt for one of their facilities. Composed of copper, tin braid, silver tube, 318-stainless steel, it measured 1'-7.5" in length, 4" wide, and 0.625" thick and met tolerances of ± 0.0625" on the overall length. Manufacturing consisted of CNC milling including creation of slots and holes. Forming and pressing was done on our 400 ton press.
